Self-Petitions for Legal Immigration Status in the U.S.

Flying Geese
A New Dawn For Healing

The Violence Against Women Act  allows the abused spouse or child of a lawful permanent resident or U.S. citizen or the parent of an abused child  to file a family preference visa petition on his or her own behalf without the participation of the abusive spouse or parent.

If you are a victim of domestic violence, you no longer need to depend on your spouse to file your immigration documents on your behalf.  Now there is a special process for you to petition on behalf of yourself:  "self-petition".

This is a special law to protect survivors of domestic violence. Do not lose this opportunity to attain citizenship in the United States. Contact our office for assistance in filing your petition.
